Creola’s quilts favored lucid geometries with frequent modulations in motif. There are subtle adjustments in the pattern of her "Doves at the Window" variation, for example, especially notable in the random placement of plaid squares in the corners of some of the blocks and in the different colors that mark the crossings of the columns.
