Description

Created in August 1990, this piece records the world's nervous and agitated response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Dial's rendering of Saddam Hussein, with bulging eyes and watermelon grin, slyly introduces a racial subtext to the West's countermeasures. Random, symbolic splashes of green further explain the conflict's cause: money.
