Description

Following the 9/11 tragedy, Dial created over a dozen pieces on the catastrophe, including Still Smoking. Inspired by both media images of the terrorist attacks as well as his own visit to Ground Zero just a month after the event, his suite of 9/11 paintings, works on paper, and sculptural assemblages are among his most haunting works.
