Description

Many Bolden’s works are self-portraits; a number are fashioned from his own effects, especially clothing. The scarecrows' subliminal emphasis on his identity becomes paramount: the artist/planter announces himself to his world and keeps relationships vital and balanced, rooting his city and his oasis in something he feels more deeply.
